DIRECTIONS TO
FAULKNER BROOK
If you are
looking for a great one day hike we have just the ticket for
you! Faulkner Brook is a primitive area just off the Delaware
River. It is an easy one hour ride from downtown Honesdale.
Jump in the car on a nice sunny morning and be on the shore of
one of two isolated primitive lakes by late morning/early
afternoon.
Once there
enjoy all that Mother Nature really has to offer you. Rolling
streams, thick, deep woods, quiet and solitude, and no
civilization for miles. This area lies in a state protected,
public welcome, game lands setting.
The lake is off
limits to swimming and boating but open to fishing, picnicking.
So bring a lunch and kick back and enjoys the birds, deer, fish
and other abundant wildlife.
Spend the day
and head back out when the suns starts to sink. Remember the
