15. WHITNEY BROS. LIVERY STABLE

(Owl Chrysler-Plymouth Jeep Eagle). Originally, this building was Whitney Bros. Livery Stable. Horace T. and George H. Whitney built this stone building in 1877. A previous building had been destroyed by fire. Local citizens rented a horse and carriage from Whitney’s much the same as we would call a taxi today.
