BAPTIST CHURCH Honesdale’s Baptist Church congregation beginnings date back to 1833. Early meetings were held in Bethany and the “Tabernacle” at the fork of the Dyberry and Lackawaxan Rivers nearby. The present church building was dedicated in 1845. This elegant structure is the oldest church building in Honesdale.
